Getting to the Southernmost point of the United States was one of the goals we had when we set out on our honeymoon in February. The best part of this journey was that we were going from Miami to Key West on a motorcycle. The overseas highway isn’t like anything either of us has experienced. It’s a long ride, an incredible experience and to be honest, one I’m not sure either of us would do again. I’m not meaning to burst your bubble if you are planning on going from Miami to Key West on a motorcycle. I think everyone should do it once. There’s nothing like the wind in your face, the sun beating down, the ocean on both sides of you and the roar of the motorcycle in your ears! I decided to create this guide for motorcyclists going to Key West the first time so they are prepared as much as possible. Keep Reading
There is no mistaking Deadwood South Dakota for anything but Deadwood, South Dakota. All you need to do is look up at the hills that surround the town to see the dead wood. Where do I even begin? This trip to the 75th Annual Sturgis SD Motorcycle Rally was so much more than the events in Sturgis. In fact, we didn’t even get to Sturgis until our last day in South Dakota. Car or motorcycle, this part of the United States is a must see. But I do have to say, on the back of my love’s motorcycle was, by far, the BEST experience of my life. It heightened all my senses and brought us even closer (hard to believe I know!) together as a couple.
While we were on vacation we saw several interesting places. Too many to put all in one blog post so below is the summary of our trip and if you click on each destination (as I create it) it will go further in to detail of those destinations and our wanderings at each of them. I hope you enjoy it even a fraction of what we did! Keep Reading
